The Op Center was founded in to 1994 as a telecommunications company when the cost to small business for a in-state telephone call was 26 cents/minute. Through diligent research of the industry, The Op Center was able to offer small businesses the same or better long-distance telephone services for half the price.
The company's founder and current owner has a keen awareness of small business issues such the importance of good communication and cost containment, having spent over 20 years as CEO of a health care corporation.
Since 1994 The Op Center has expanded the types of services it now offers its customers in addition to low-cost local and long-distance telephone services including voice over internet. The expanded solutions include residential and business computer repair and maintenances, office telephone systems, teleconferencing, web conferences, high speed internet access, frame relay, ATM, pagers, and cell phones.
The Op Center, named after the many Coast Guard operation centers coordinating sea search and rescues. Searching for value and rescuing small business from rising costs is what it is all about.
